NHS Direct Wales provides health advice and information from 3 contact centres across Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The organisation employs over 300 staff (both full and part-time)in a wide range of roles.
 
 

A new drive to attract more doctors to Wales was launched on 1st February 2012 by the Health Minister Lesley Griffiths.

The fresh campaign Work for Wales is to encourage more doctors to apply to work in Wales.

It begins with the launch of a new website Medical Careers Wales which, for the first time, brings together in one place all the need-to-know information about living and working in Wales as a doctor.
