Board of Community Health Councils

The Wales Board is supported by a team of eight people: a Director, Office Manager, Information & Senior Administrative Officer, two Administrative Support Officers (job-share), Training & Development Manager, Consultation & Liaison Officer, and a Human Resources Manager.

CHCs are staffed differently across Wales, but the whole organisation (including the Board) employs approximatley 90 people.  The types of jobs include: Chief Officers, Personal Assistants, Office Managers, Administrative Support Officers, Complaints Advocates, Advocacy Support Officers and Patient & Public Involvement Officers.

The work of the CHC organisation is steered by its voluntary members, who number approximately 280 in total.
