Friday, 3 February 2012
The Health Promotion Library will move from the Welsh Government to Public Health Wales on 1 April 2012.
The Health Promotion Library is currently with the Welsh Government and provides information on health promotion and public health.  It also manages the Health Challenge Wales leaflet order line 0845 606 4050.
Following consultation, library staff have been TUPE transferred from the Welsh Government. The move to Public Health Wales will also see the library and its staff move from its current location in Llanishen, Cardiff to new accommodation in Churchill House, Churchill Way, Cardiff.
Dr Peter Bradley, Executive Director of Public Health Development said, “I am very pleased to be welcoming the Health Promotion Library and its staff to Public Health Wales.
“The Library is a source of great knowledge and expertise and I look forward to working with the team more closely.”
In order to prepare for the move, the library will operate reduced hours of 9am – 12pm in February and will be closed to all customers during March 2012.
The move of the Health Promotion Library to Public Health Wales is being undertaken as part of the bigger Realignment Project being carried out. Further information on the realignment project can be viewed here.
