The upcoming Embase™ reload on OvidSP has been scheduled for the third week of June 2013. As part of this reload, several new terms have been added or changed to the Emtree Embase thesaurus.

BNF/BNFC Application Issues

After the recent 2013 MEDLINE reload, an issue was found where links between the MeSH® terms for the drug classes and the specific narrower drug terms in the pharmacologic actions tree were disconnected during the global reload.

The e-Library Service Board are pleased to announce that the above apps can now be activated using NHS Wales Athens accounts. The apps provide downloadable content and can operate even if there is no network access.

The NHS Wales E Library subscription to Clinical Evidence and the Drugs and Therapeutic Bulletin is due to end on March 31 2012. Due to low usage figures, it is proposed that these contract are not renewed to allow other ‘Point of Care’ tools to be considered.

Many of our users have reported issues accessing e-library resources. The problem stems from a change introduced by the team responsible for national infrastructure. This has caused major difficulties with internet access and other services of which the NHS e-library is one.
