About e-library

NHS Wales e-library for health is funded by the Welsh Government. The online resource is aimed at effective healthcare delivery by providing relevant and timely information to support NHS Wales professionals.

Informing Healthcare Strategy

Informing Healthcare (now part of NHS Wales Informatics Service) is a national programme setup to improve the Welsh health service by modernising IT and exploring innovative ways of communicating information and knowledge. A business case submitted by IHC to the Welsh Government was approved in December 2008 to ensure continued and improved access to e-Library resources.

NHS Wales e-Library Service Board

The e-library service board was set up in January 2009 to ensure continuity and strategic direction for the e-library. The board is responsible for up-to-date information on the e-library and future improvements.
