Powys tHB has its own Board, Executive Team and locality management structure focussed on the health needs of Powys communities.
The membership of the Board comprises the Chair, Vice Chair, Chief Executive and number of Officer and Non-Officer (Independent) Members. The Board meets on a bi-monthly basis, as a minimum, in public session. The Board is supported in the decision making process by a structure of Committees which can be seen here.
The Board functions within the requirements of its Governance Framework and these are detailed in the organisation’s Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions. The Board makes arrangements for certain functions to be carried out effectively, and in a manner that secures the achievement of the organisations aims and objectives. These delegations can be seen in the Board’s Scheme of Reservation and Delegation of Powers.
All Board Members must declare any personal or business interests they may have which may affect, or be perceived to affect the conduct of their role as a Board Member. A Register of Declared Interests (need to link this document which will be finalised shortly) is held centrally and reviewed on an annual basis.
