If you’d like to take part in Champions for Health it’s not too late – but you’ll have to hurry! The closing date for registrations is Friday 28 September 2012 at 5pm.
And the good news is that more spaces have been made available - so staff in organisations who had reached their allocated number will also be able to sign up.
Don’t miss the chance to join staff from across NHS Wales who have already signed up to the six month challenge to become healthier. Spaces are limited – so you’re advised to sign up as soon as possible.
The Champions for Health action period begins on Monday 1 October – when participants will start setting their own personal challenges and recording their progress.
If you’ve only completed the first part of the registration process, you will need to complete your assessments and choose your challenges by Friday 28 September.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage NHS Wales staff to become healthier and to encourage their patients and public to do the same.
The campaign has the support of Tom James, Wales’ Double Olympic Rowing Champion. He said: “Champions for Health is an exciting initiative and I am delighted to be involved.
“Encouraging health service staff to become healthier by making some key lifestyle changes and to then motivate the public to do the same could make a real difference.”
