If you become unwell or are injured make sure you choose the right NHS service to ensure you get the best treatment. Make sure you Choose Well ...
Choose Well is an all Wales campaign - supported by NHS doctors, nurses and other staff – that aims to ensure that people who need advice and treatment for common complaints, get fast and expert care. If you become unwell or are injured, make sure you choose the right NHS service to make sure you get the best treatment.
Choose Well aims to:
For information on 'What to do if you become unwell or are injured in the Gwent area' / 'Beth ddylech ei wneud os byddwch chi'n sal neu wedi cael niwed yn ardal Gwent', have a look at the leaflet produced by Aneurin Bevan Health Board and also view the Welsh Government 'Choose Well' web pages.
Choose Well aims to:
- Promote self-care for minor illnesses and injuries, such as hangovers, indigestion, grazes, bruises, minor cuts, sprains and strains.
- Give people up-to-date information about the NHS services available in their local area, if they do need advice from an NHS professional
- Reinforce the message that A&E and 999 services are for life-threatening and serious conditions such as heart-attacks, strokes, breathing problems and serious accidents
Choosing the right service for the right illness or injury means that you and your family will get the best treatment. It also allows busy NHS services to help the people who need them most.
