If you are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms, please avoid coming to A&E or your GP surgery or pharmacy. This is just in case you have the virus, and may pass it on to others.

If you have flu-like symptoms but need to come into hospital urgently for any reason please avoid public areas and inform a member of staff as soon as possible.

If you are unsure, please inform a member of staff immediately.

What should I do if I have flu-like symptoms?

Stay home and check symptoms on the NHS Direct Wales website at www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk  or by phoning the swine flu information line on 0800 1 513 513.

If you have these symptoms, follow good respiratory and hand hygiene – catch it, bin it, kill it.

If the symptoms are causing concern, or if you are in an at-risk group such as those with a chronic condition like heart or lung disease, or pregnant women, you should phone your GP or NHS Direct Wales on 0845 46 47 as you may be a priority for early antiviral treatment.
