ABM cancer patients will take to the catwalk on Sunday 9th September along with family members and staff to raise money for the Golau Cancer Foundation.
The Charity will be hosting the ‘Light Up the Runway’ event at Oceana Nightclub in Swansea to raise money for new cancer treatment wards in the South West Wales Cancer Centre at Singleton Hospital.
Anne Marie Rees from Gowerton, who will be modelling in the fashion show, received life saving treatment at the hospital after being diagnosed with cancer two years ago.She said: “It is a real honour to be taking part, if it wasn’t for the Singleton Cancer Centre I wouldn’t be here now with my family. I want to show everyone that there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
Golau Cancer Fundraising Manager, Corrine Jones said: “Thanks to everyone taking part in this event - I hope you can all make it. A special thank you also goes to the patients and staff modelling, together we can all fight cancer.”
Tickets for the event cost £8 per guest or £12 for VIP, and can be purchased on the charity website, www.golaucancerfoundation.org.uk or through Corrine on 07984422633. Doors open at 7pm.
The fashion show is one of many fundraising events taking place this month to launch the Golau Cancer Foundation as the new name of fundraising for the Cancer Centre at Singleton Hospital.
