Appointment of Three Community Health Council Members to the Clwyd (Denbighshire) CHC was announced by the Minister for Health and Social Services, Jane Hutt.
Mrs Lynne Day
Mrs Day lives in Tremeirchion. She is currently a housewife and volunteer for the Denbighshire Citizens’ Panel. She also sits on the local youth offending team and is involved with the British showjumping association.
Dr Anne Macleod
Dr Macleod lives in Prestatyn. She is a retired General Practitioner for the North Wales Health Authority and has over 30 years experience of the NHS. She was one of the founders of the St. Kentigern Hospice and is currently President. She has also been a local Councillor for Flintshire and Clwyd County Councils.
Mrs Jane Williams
Mrs Williams lives in Groes, Denbigh. She is currently a self-employed carer and has previously worked for the Nacro Night Shelter and the Cae Dai Trust. She is also vice-chair of the North Denbighshire Survivors Network. She has a great deal of experience with mental health issues and occasionally works with MIND as an interviewer.
Note:
Community Health Council members do not receive a remuneration. The appointments have been made until 31 March 2008.
