A patient visited Morriston Hospital last week for his latest appointment – and caused quite a stir by bringing along his celebrity family.
Kaid Mohamed’s visit to the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery will certainly not be forgotten by the staff in a hurry.
The patient’s sister, Hell’s Kitchen star Danielle Bux, and her football legend husband Gary Lineker, came along to support Mr Mohamed following his recent surgery.
The Welsh Centre for Plastic Surgery offers surgery to improve upper limb function for patients who have suffered spinal injury.Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Dean Boyce said:
“We were all a bit surprised to see them. They were very nice indeed. Mr Lineker was kind enough to sign some shirts and is sending us some ‘Match of the Day’ memorabilia to auction for the Welsh Dragon Burns Club, our children’s charity.
“Kaid is a patient at Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff. He’s a well motivated young man and is doing well. We see patients like him from all over the country as we’re the only centre to offer this type of specialised upper limb surgery in Wales. ”
