Welsh Government National Cancer Standards & Targets

The Welsh Assembly Government published the National Cancer Standards 2005.  To support their publication the following Welsh Health Circular has been issued by the Welsh Assembly Government;

  The standards cover the following cancer sites:

   

  Breast Cancer Services Colorectal Cancer Services Gynaecological Cancer Services Haematological Cancer Services Head and Neck Cancer Services

  Lung Cancer Services Skin Cancer Services Specialist Palliative Care Thyroid Cancer Services Upper Gastro-intestinal Cancer Services Urology Cancer Services

These new standards replace the previous Minimum Standards and are a continuation of the process of regular review and revision by the Cancer Services Co-ordinating Group (CSCG).  Below are the links to the minimum standards for each tumour site:

  The Ministerial Letter SF/EH/70/09 formally announces the publication of the National Cancer Standards for Sarcoma Services 2009, these standards form part of the series of Cancer Standards published in 2005.
