Please phone the surgery before 10.00am if possible.
Home visits are reserved for patients who are too ill to attend surgery. They are extremely time consuming and we generally follow the guidelines laid down by NHS Wales, which has approved the following:
* A GP visit is recommended to terminally ill and bed-bound patients.
* A GP visit may be useful in cases of chest pain, severe shortage of breath and severe bleeding.
If a GP is informed that a patient has symptoms that suggest a heart attack, the sensible approach may be to dial 999 and call an emergency paramedic ambulance rather than attending the surgery.
