When You Leave
Planning your discharge
When you leave:
You will be informed by your consultant or nurse when are able to leave and what you will need to take with you. You will also be given instructions to follow once at home.
Please remember that you will not be able to drive a car or motorbike, ride a bicycle or operate machinery of any kind after an anaesthetic.
An out patient appointment will be made for you before you leave the Suite and confirmed either by letter or with a card to take home.
When you are home, any questions or concerns you may have can either be directed to the nursing staff on the Suite or to your GP.
Your comments are always welcome, whether they are good or bad. As part of the Quality Standard that we adhere to patient satisfaction surveys are issued to patients to enable us to continually improve our service. Without your input we would not be able to do this and we urge you to complete the questionnaire before leaving the Suite or whilst at home recuperating. Should you have any concerns whilst an in patient, please bring these to a member of staff’s attention straight away, so that we can deal with them straight away.
