Improving Healthcare seminars

Quality seminar - group shotThe ‘Improving Healthcare’ seminar series is bringing together international experts in patient safety and quality improvement in an innovative and stimulating two year programme of teaching activities.

Delivered in partnership with the NPSA, it will provide the Faculty for Healthcare Improvement, frontline staff, students, academics and the public with unique opportunities to further develop their knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of patient safety and quality improvement within a national and international context.

The seminars will facilitate the strengthening of local, national and international networks and provide the opportunity for shared learning and enhanced joint working. They will also complement the seminar series delivered by the Healthcare Improvement Unit at Cardiff University.

The seminars will cover key topics outlined in the patient safety competencies framework developed by the Healthcare Improvement Unit, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to become “change agents” in NHS Wales, and leading the way for Wales to become a patient safety knowledge-rich nation.
