Programme Area: Patient Stories

Quick links: resources

Overview: Patient stories are promoted by 1000 Lives Plus as an effective and powerful way of making sure that the patient’s voice is heard and that improvement of services is centred on the needs of the patient.

It is a requirement of the programme that stories are used to ensure that the patient's voice is heard at the highest level. The following pages provide an overview of process to help with understanding, sharing of practical tools, relevant experience and offers advice on the development and use of stories.

1000 Lives Plus has a 'How to' Guide, Learning to Use Patient Stories, based on experience. We are constantly learning and every time we take a story we have the opportunity to learn and develop our approach.
