AccessAppointments (All patients can access consultations using the following guidelines)Morning surgery 8.30-12.30We operate an open access morning Surgery every day from Monday to Friday. All patients should register with the Triage Nurse at reception between 8.30 am and 9.30 am (children under 16 should be accompanied by a responsible adult). All those who register will be seen by the Nurse who will either offer a GP appointment later that morning or deal with the problem if possible. Telephone TriageIf you are too ill or not physically able to come to the surgery you can telephone reception preferably before 11.00 a.m. to be placed on the Telephone Triage list, a triage nurse will then ring you back to discuss your problem and to make any necessary arrangements. All home visit requests will be placed on the telephone triage list. Emergency only triage will continue throughout the day by the Duty Nurse or the Doctor Evening routine appointments 4.00-6.00 pmSlots are released every Monday morning at 8.00 a.m. for the week ahead, this has been changed in an effort to avoid patients failing to attend the surgery when the appointment is booked too far in advance. Nurses appointmentsAre booked through reception, and can be booked upt to 6 months in advance if necessary Emergency slots can normally be offered within 24 hours or through Open access clinics in the morning Additional InformationRegistered patients aged 16-74 who have not been seen for three years may request a consultation. Registered patients aged over 75 years who have not been seen in the previous 12 months may request a consultation. If you are unable to attend the surgery for this consultation because of your medical condition,a home visit may be arranged based on medical assessment of need
