Travel Clinic

Travel Clinic is a nurse-led service by appointment only.

If you need immunisations to travel, please seek advice as soon as the travel arrangements are
known, as a full immunisation programme can be lengthy, and full protection may not be possible
if you leave it too late.
An appointment should be booked with the Practice Nurse, but please note that the initial consultation
is usually for advice and planning the immunisation schedule only.
Further appointments may need to be made to receive the vaccinations.

It is important that you find out what vaccinations you have previously received.
(Vaccinations administered in school are not always recorded in your medical records.)

Some travel immunisations are not covered by the N.H.S. and therefore a charge will be due.
The nurse or receptionist can advise you of the costs, to be paid for on the day. (Cash or cheque only.)

This site will provide health information for the countries you intend to visit and the vaccinations you will require.
This may avoid an unnecessary appointment with nurse if you are up-to-date with your vaccinations.
