For the disabled:
- There are adequate facilities at the surgery for wheelchair access and a toilet large enough for wheelchairs.
- The practice has a loop system fitted.
- This website is compliant for those with visual and audio impairment.
- The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) gives disabled people important rights of access to health services and social services, such as doctors' surgeries, dental surgeries, hospitals and mobile screening units.
The DDA also means that you have a right to information about healthcare and social services in a format that is accessible to you where it is reasonable for the service provider to provide it in that format. For example, forms and explanatory literature in large print to assist people with visual impairments.
If you are disabled and need additional assistance from us, speak to a member of staff who will endeavour to help you. Alternatively you may wish to give your carer consent to speak to us on your behalf.
