Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH)
FH is a common inherited condition affecting around 1 in 500 of the UK population. It is caused by an abnormal gene which results in very high cholesterol levels in the blood. People with FH, if untreated, are at an increased risk of early coronary heart disease. This service aims to identify and treat individuals and families in Wales.

FH Family Forum:
An active forum for individuals and families affected by FH in South Wales. The Forum holds regular events, and gives patients a say in the development of NHS services.

FH Pilot Project:
The aim of this project was is to pilot a coordinated service for those with FH and their families, with the aim of improving the identification and management of those affected. This was designed to provide a template for implementation within the NHS...
FH Steering Group:
The SFH Steering Group brings together Health Professionals from various backgrounds who are interested in developing and promoting a clinical service for FH in Wales.
