Research
The Pain Management Centre monitors the effectiveness of its intervention on an ongoing basis and has built up a database which includes 12 years of collected data.
This year we have decided to focus on qualitative research in the area of pain and are developing studies in conjunction with key local partners.
Past Projects and papers include:
- CFS/ME Programme outcome data - Pain Management Team
This pilot programme was run along the lines of a pain management programme including graded exercise, relaxation, pacing and mood management training. Initial results show the programme was a success and the Centre will be running the programme for a year to see whether there is ongoing demand for this type of service. - Occupational Therapy and Chronic Pain in Primary Care - Mary Rhys Williams
