Cardiff for Africa: 31 March 2008 As Cardiff University is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2008, a number of events have been planned to celebrate 125 years of education, research and training.One such event was a "Cardiff for Africa" Conference, which took place on Monday 31 March 2008, in the Julian Hodge Lecture Theatre, Cardiff University. The theme of the conference was to gather information about Cardiff University's impact upon global health and specifically work which has been, or is being undertaken in Africa - particularly Sub Saharan Africa, by University staff and students and their partners in Africa.
