NSF ImplementationIn June 2003, the Director for Mental Health, Mr Phillip Chick, was asked to carry out a detailed review of the adult mental health services National Service Framework (NSF). On 3 March 2004, Mr Chick presented a review of the Mental Health NSF to the Health and Social Services Committee, a copy of which can be viewed by clicking on Presentation to the HSSC - Review of the Mental Health NSF. The full Committee paper can be accessed by clicking on HSSC Paper - Review of the Adult Mental Health NSF (3 March 2004) The first stage of the NSF review focused upon prioritising those key actions most likely to have the greatest impact upon the quality of service provision. The review’s priorities and recommendations were accepted by the Minister for Health and Social Services and submitted to Health and Social Services committee in March this year.
