As a result of the Publication Scheme Development and Maintenance Initiative (DMI) the ICO introduced a new model publication scheme that was adopted from
The scheme states that authorities must produce a guide to the specific information they hold and which is contained within any of the scheme's seven classes. They expect authorities to ensure that the information can be easily identified and accessed by yourselves, the general public.
The ICO will regularly review the model scheme and guidance documents and have recommended that authorities commit to reviewing and updating their information guide and its contents on a regular basis.
The ICO have also produced a series of definition documents for the main public sectors. These documents identify the type of information they would expect to be included in each class. The definition document Health Bodies in Wales has been produced to support all the Local Health Boards, NHS Trusts and Ambulance Trusts in the development of this scheme.
Further information on the agreed publication scheme can be accessed via the Information Commissioners Office website. Also accessible via the site is a Guide to Information that the ICO routinely make available.
