Conference & Awards

The Welsh Language in Healthcare Conference has been held annually since 2003 and have been very succesful in discussing issues and raising awareness of the importance of the Welsh language in the sector when dealing with patients, their families and the public.

The Welsh Language in Healthcare Awards have been running since 2004 and have succesfully awarded many teams and projects for their innovation in providing bilingual care. 

Their main aim is to improve Welsh language provision in healthcare for the public and patients, who are at the heart of our efforts.

Through the awards we hope to:

• Encourage those making a difference with cash for future Welsh language projects;

• Raise the profile of the language through recognising good practice;

• Share and network innovative ideas and schemes;

• Encourage friendly competition between teams and departments!
