A Ministerial Seminar wiith the Welsh Language Board was held in July. The aim of the Seminar was to focus on discussing how bilingual services could be developed in a strategic way. A discussion paper was published as a basis for discussion.

 

Under the chair of the Deputy Minister for Social Services, Gwenda Thomas AM, the Seminar agreed that a strategic framework should be created in order to develop bilingual services in health and that the framework should be jointly with the social services sector.

 

A Steering Group will be established to develop the framework in the Autumn.
