Plain Film Radiography

This the most common form of X-Ray examination. They can range from a simple X-Rays to more complex pictures of the other regions of the body such as the abdomen or the skeleton. The process involves passing an X-Ray through the area of interest on to a special film that is then developed.

The image will often give vital information relating to the disease. Simple X-Rays such as these use very low doses of radiation and normally do not take long to carry out.
