Role of the complementary therapist
We provide support to patients through the use of reflexology, reiki/healing, aromatherapy, breathing and relaxation techniques.  These relaxing and supportive treatments are adapted by our clinically trained therapists to consider the specific needs of our patients.

We work alongside other healthcare professionals to alleviate anxiety, pain, side effects and symptoms. We help people who need additional support to alleviate physical, psychological or spiritual concerns which affect their well-being and quality of life.

The course of treatment we provide will vary depending on the individual's needs.

The department
The Complemetary Therapy team consists of a Clinical Lead Complementary Therapist, a Senior Complementary Therapist, six Complementary Therapists and a Complementary Therapy Administrator.

Referral process
We provide support to inpatients and outpatients. Medical staff or other healthcare professionals can refer patients to us.
