Announcement of new funding opportunity

The Lifelong Health and Wellbeing ageing programme on behalf of the Research Councils and Health Departments, invites interdisciplinary research proposals into the physiological effects and behaviours associated with physical activity and sedentary behaviour in older adults.

This 9 funding partner call for proposals seeks to build on the small evidence base targeting an ageing population by harnessing existing UK expertise in physical activity, behaviour science and the engineering and physical sciences to inform the future development of more effective interventions to motivate and sustain activity in the older population. £5.5 million is available to support high-quality, interdisciplinary research proposals.
