Applications open for portfolio development support programmesThursday, 6 September 2012The Professional and Organisational Development team is now accepting applications from public health workers across Wales to their portfolio development support schemes.
The team currently runs the Public Health Practitioner Portfolio Development Support Programme and the Defined Specialist Support Programme Public Health Practitioners Applications are invited from public health workers across Wales to the Public Health Practitioner Portfolio Development Support Programme (2012-13). Through this programme practitioners will be able to access a range of support in developing portfolios of evidence against the UK Public Health Register’s (UKPHR) Public Health Practitioner (Draft) Standards for Registration. Successful applicants will receive a range of support through CPD opportunities and mentoring including self-assessment, collating evidence and demonstrating competence. A further breakdown of the programme and information on the application process can be found in the ‘Public Health Practitioner Portfolio Development Support Programme (2012-13) Guidance Document’ which can be downloaded along with an application form. Applications are welcome from public health practitioners from organisations across Public Health Specialists The Defined Specialist Support Programme is for public health professionals working at senior strategic levels. It provides support to help in the preparation of a defined specialist portfolio to be submitted to the UK Voluntary Register for Public Health Specialists.
