Welcome to the Cardiovascular Research Group Cymru

The Cardiovascular Research Group - Cymru (CVRG-C) is a Registered Research Group (RRG) which is part of the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research (NISCHR).  A series of RRGs exist to develop and support health and social care based research activity and enable Wales to initiate, and take part in high quality research initiatives. 
 
The work of the RRGs will directly support NISCHR priorities and provides demonstrable synergy with the work of the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC).

On 24 April 2013 NISCHR held its ‘Making a Difference’ Conference at Cardiff City Stadium. The one day event was attended by over 170 delegates representing a broad range of perspectives including academia, the NHS, Welsh Government and the NISCHR-funded research infrastructure.
