Welcome to Morriston Postgraduate Centre
The Postgraduate Medical Centre has been catering to the needs of young doctors and dentists for over 40 years and training in Morriston Hospital has greatly expanded. The Postgraduate Centre has five lecture rooms of varying sizes and we hold many courses and lectures for dentists and DCP’s. We also have a Clinical Skills Facility, which will accommodate ten practitioners and is situated in Maes y Gwernen Hall next to the Postgraduate Centre. Morriston Postgraduate centre is due to be rebuilt; the plans are for a new Integrated Education Centre which will not only house the Postgraduate Centre, but the Undergraduates, Corporate Training and also other departments. Work is due to commence in January 2012 with a hope of being in place in the spring of 2014.
We organise various teaching programmes for junior doctors i.e. FP1, FP2, Academic Teaching; CT1, CT2 teaching, Surgical weekly and Core teaching and also the regular Clinical / Departmental / Grand Round meetings and Medical Journal Club meetings. We would request that you check the Postgraduate notice boards regularly.
The postgraduate department’s doors are always open if you have any questions or queries.
