Nursing Needs Assessment Decision Record Training Pack

The Office of the Chief Nursing Officer and the Older People & Long Term Care Policy Directorate, within the Welsh Assembly Government, have jointly funded the development of the Nursing Needs Assessment Decision Record Training Pack. The pack was launched at three regional workshops which took place on 24th, 25th & 31st January 2007.

We are pleased to provide you with this detailed training pack to assist your organisation prepare and update nurses who undertake assessments which contribute to decisions on eligibility for NHS Funded Nursing Care and/or continuing NHS health care, or more generally form part of the Unified Assessment Process.

We would like to thank all those who contributed to the work of the All Wales Task and Finish Group set up to review and update the Workbook and decision/placement record, which resulted not only in the review of the Nursing Needs Placement Record and Workbook, but also the production of the supporting Training Programme.
