The Deputy Minister for Children and Social Services, Gwenda Thomas, has launched a consultation on how to strengthen Welsh language services to meet the care needs of Welsh speakers, their families and carers.

Health Minister Lesley Griffiths has announced the appointment of Ms Maria Battle as Chair of Cardiff & Vale University Local Health Board. She succeeds Mr David Francis when he stands down on the 31 March 2012.
