Welcome to the National Collaborating Centre for Cancer

The National Collaborating Centre for Cancer (NCC-C) is one of five national collaborating centres commissioned by National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to develop guidance for the NHS in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The NCC-C guidelines focus on treating and caring for people with cancer - find out more about our guidelines both current and completed work.

The centre develops guidelines using Guideline Development Groups (GDGs), consisting of doctors, other health professionals and representatives of patient/carer organisations. More details are provided on the Developing Cancer Guidelines page.

The NCC-C is hosted by Velindre NHS Trust and operates in partnership with Cardiff University and other key organisations, which are represented on the NCC-C Management Board.

The vision of the NCC-C is to establish an efficient and effective way of producing cancer service guidance and clinical guidelines
