Welcome to Velindre NHS TrustVelindre NHS Trust, with its headquarters at Charnwood Court, Parc Nantgarw, Cardiff, was established on 1st April 1994 and has steadily grown to manage a budget of over £150M in 2006/07 and to provide a range of specialist services at local, regional and all Wales levels. The Trust comprises of a variety of Divisions who specialise in services as diverse as caring for cancer patients in Velindre Hospital to managing the Digital All Wales Network for NHS Wales from Health Solutions Wales in Brunel House. On the 31st May 2008, Professor Tony Hazell’s term of office with Velindre NHS Trust came to an end and we would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincere thanks to Professor Hazell for his work and dedication to the Trust over the past 10 years and wish him our best wishes for the future. On the 1st June 2008, Ian Kelsall commenced his appointment as Chairman of Velindre NHS Trust. Following the 14 years with the Trust as Director of Finance and then Chief Executive, Mr. Paul Miller left Velindre NHS Trust for pastures new as Director of Finance for Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. On the 12th January 2009, Mrs Allison Williams joined Velindre NHS Trust as Interim Chief Executive. Allison was Chief Executive of Ceredigion and Mid Wales NHS Trust from 2003 until the merger early in 2008 and then spent a number of months working with the Strategy Unit in the Welsh Assembly Government. Allison Williams left Velindre NHS Trust on the 4th September 2009 for pastures new at Cwm Taf NHS Trust. Mr Alun Lloyd has been confirmed as the Acting Chief Executive of Velindre Trust with effect from 7th September 2009. Alun Lloyd - Acting Trust Chief Executive Ian Kelsall Trust Chair
