WELCOME – CROESO to the Pontypridd Rhondda CHC Website

Community Health Councils (CHC’s) are independent bodies, who listen to what individuals have to say about health services in their area. We cover the Rhondda, Pontypridd and Llantrisant areas of Rhondda Cynon Taf. Our members make regular monitoring visits to hospitals, primary care providers and GPs, and collate the view of patients and staff. We also attend meetings of NHS bodies and groups concerned in developing services in our area and express your views about what is going on from the perspective of the patient. If you have any views you would like to submit now please click on our feedback button.

Please note:- We do not give clinical health-care advice or treatment. If you have a health problem requiring immediate advice or treatment please phone your G.P., NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or, if truly urgent and serious, the Ambulance service on 999.

We can also help, advise and support you if you want to make a complaint, access your medical records, or have other problems. In some cases we may be able to refer you to other organisations that can help. The dates of our board meetings and related details are found under CHC Council Meetings. Community Health Councils, although abolished in England, are still very much alive in Wales and we are here to help improve the health service for everybody and help you to get the right sort of care, for yourself or someone you care for.
