OUR MAIN PURPOSE is...

The role of a Local Health Board (LHB) is to improve the health of local people, plan the development of primary care and purchase health services to address the needs of its population.

We will do this by:-
  • Identifying local health needs
  • Setting priorities for action
  • Working closely with primary health care teams (GPs, dentists, pharmacies and optometrists) to plan quality care in your community
  • Work closely with other agencies, for example the Local Authority, the Health Trust, Voluntary Sector and Community Health Council to provide local services that work well together
  • Monitoring and reviewing the standards of local services.

A partnership which includes you
As a member of the public you are welcome to attend our monthly Board meetings.  The meetings are usually held at Theatr Stiwt, Rhos, Wrexham on the fourth Thursday in the month (excluding August).
