At the core of our work is the belief that the built environment plays a crucial role in patient care and the patient experience. Our stated mission is “to champion modern and sustainable healthcare environments”. Until 1st April 2011, when we became part of NHS Wales Shared Service Partnership, Facilities Services was known as Welsh Health Estates. All the services formerly provided by Welsh Health Estates continue under the new name. If you are an NHS Wales user you can visit our Intranet website for more detailed information and access to additional documents. The Space for Health website closed at the end of March 2013. All the documents that apply in Wales, HBN’s, HTM’, etc. will eventually be available from the Publications page. We have had a very short timescale to complete the transfer so it will be some time before all the documents have been uploaded.
