It is one of 22 LHBs across Wales and is ultimately accountable to the Minister for Health & Social services and the Welsh Assembly Government through the Director of NHS Wales. Gwynedd LHB serves a population of over 116,000 (2001 census data). It directly employs approximately 80 people but is also responsible for employing Out Of Hours Service staff. The Board The Board provides leadership and direction to the organisation, ensuring that its affairs are conducted in an open manner, with the highest standards possible. It comprises of both LHB and non-LHB officers and together they share corporate repsonsibility for all Board decisions. As a member of the public, you are welcome to attend our board meetings.
