Unscheduled Care Data
Local Health Boards, Trusts and partner bodies in Wales generate and collect a significant amount of data in relation to Unscheduled Care.The diversity of roles that the health and social arena sustains provides a broad range of data collection that includes; mortality and morbidity, hospital workload; primary and community health; mental health services; NHS performance management; internal and external audits, ambulance response and waiting times, patient handover and length of stay.
Data and epidemiology information is collected across Wales on a local, regional and national basis and includes population, lifestyle, demography, long-term limiting illness, condition specific data and much more each of which may be related to elements of USC.
Health Statistics Wales is an annual publication from the Welsh Government that contains a wide range of statistical information on the health of the population and the range and quality of health care services in Wales.
