NHS Direct Wales on-line enquiry ServiceThe NHS Direct Wales online enquiry service is now available in Welsh. The online enquiry service is where you can ask a question on a wide range of general health related topics including common conditions such as chickenpox, local NHS services, patient’s rights and healthy living. Skilled Health Information Specialists answer the enquiries by email, using high quality information and you can now choose to have your enquiry answered in Welsh or English.
 
NHS Direct Wales is a 24 hour health advice and information service, signposting the people of Wales to the most appropriate level of healthcare for their needs. We give health advice and information so that people are better able to care for themselves and their family, day or night. 

The 0845 46 47 telephone helpline is available 24 hours a day. You can call for nurse triage and advice if you are feeling ill and are unsure what to do, or for health information on a particular condition such as diabetes or asthma. Information Specialists can also give you information relevant to where you live such as your nearest doctor, pharmacist, dentist or support group, as well as information on your rights as a patient, waiting lists times and any benefits available to you.
The NHS Direct Wales website is the consumer health information portal for Wales and provides 24 hour access to information, including all-Wales searches on dentist availability, late night pharmacy opening times and contact details for self help groups.
