Health Social Care and Wellbeing Strategies 2011-14
Health Boards and Local government have a joint statutory duty to develop a Health, Social Care & Well Being (HSCWB) Strategy for 2011-2014. This must clearly identify how they intend to improve the health and well being of residents in their localities and build upon the progress made during the lifetime of the previous two HSCWB Strategies.
The 2011 HSCWBSs should focus on:
- Improving health and well being and reducing inequities, that is inequalities in health that are unfair and avoidable
- Improving the provision, quality, integration, and sustainability of ‘overlapping services’,
that is in situations where the NHS, local government and their partners, together provide interlocking services to identifiable groups.
