The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) for example is an independent organisation that produces national guidance on promoting good health and treating ill health. You can use the links alongside to view NICE guidance by  topic area.

NLIAH has published several Guides to Good Practice and other useful guidance relevant to unscheduled care service improvement. 

The 1000 Lives Plus Programme

The Department of Health in England, the Royal Colleges and societies and associations of the medical professions also produce guidance e.g.
