The National Hip Fracture Database National Report 2011

The NHFD is a joint venture of the British Geriatrics Society and the British Orthopaedic Association, and is designed to facilitate improvements in the quality and cost effectiveness of hip fracture care. As a National audit project the NHFD is supported by the Information Centre for Health and Social Care’s National Clinical Audit Support Programme (NCASP) The NHFD is intended to focus attention on hip fracture both locally and nationally, benchmark its care across the country, and use continuous comparative data to create a drive for sustained improvements in clinical standards and cost effectiveness.
