Dental Institutions
The Cardiff University School of Dentistry is the only one of its type in Wales and provides unique and important leadership in dental research, teaching and patient care.
The Welsh Oral Health Information Unit (WOHIU) plans and delivers the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry (BASCD) co-ordinated surveys of children’s oral health together with other epidemiological surveys of priority groups within Wales. The unit provides independent professional advice, quality assurance, data cleaning, data verification, data analysis and a reporting service on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government.
